Torrevieja is situated next to the Mediterranean Sea in the south of the Costa Blanca. The population is just over 100,000, but summer is growing city with 10 times. Torrevieja is surrounded by two large natural saltwater lagoons that are considered the largest in Europe. Alicante is the provincial capital about 47 km away and the international airports of Alicante and San Javier are about 35 km away.

In recent years Torrevieja has become a premier tourist destination, there are many beautiful beaches, squares, parks, gardens and other natural beauty spots,


One of the main attractions to Torrevieja are the different festivals that take place each month. Some of the most popular events in Spain are the Carnavals where thousands of people go in and form a light show of color, satire and good humor. Holy Week attracts lots of people on the streets, convert them to big roads in color .. Good Friday at night is one of the most revered and admired festivals on the Spanish east coast.

Torrevieja is surrounded by two large natural saltwater lagoons that form the well-known "Salterns of Torrevieja". It is located on the Costa Blanca coast, and 40 minutes from Alicante airport.


It is an ideal place for a summer or winter sun holiday with an average of 320 days of sunshine each year. It is said to be good for those suffering from arthritis, asthma and rheumatism. The area is considered by the World Health Organization to have the healthiest climate in Europe.


It is impossible to speak of Torrevieja without talking about its beaches with their fine sand and crystal clear water, arguably the busiest along the Mediterranean coast. They all have the European Blue Flag award stands for, clean seas for several years, its quality and excellent facilities. La Mata, Los Locos, El Cura, El Acequión and Los Naufragos together Torreviejan beaches of the coast, not forgetting the stunning bays in the north, as well as the so-called natural pools located next to Juan Aparicio Promenade in the center of town.



Ciudad Quesada

Many people who visit Quesada and is instantly in love with the city and the people. Quesada has a very diverse population of approximately 20,000 inhabitants live here Spaniards, Englishmen, Frenchmen, Swedes, Norwegians, and many, many more nationalities. Because of this, Europe in miniature, many people choose to settle in Ciudad Quesada and "live the dream".

During the past 20 years Ciudad Quesada has developed into an award-winning city, finally got its own town hall, making it a city in its own right. The city is located in the south on a hillside with wonderful views of the salt lakes of Torrevieja. Beyond the salt lakes glistening Mediterranean Sea on the horizon. In the other keeps you see the mountains and the plains covered with orange and lemon groves that fill the air with a wonderful aroma of the blooming seasons.

Ciudad Quesada on the Costa Blanca South liggerca 35 to 40 minutes drive south of Alicante and 30 minutes from Alicante airport, with direct flights from Sweden with Sas, Norwegien and Ryanair.

There are over one hundred excellent beaches that line the coast of the Costa Blanca, with over 40 of them awarded the Blue Flag for their excellent water quality and clean beaches. Quesada is just 10 minutes drive from the Blue Flag beaches of Guardamar and La Mata, there are other words, lots of water activities if necessary!

Among the many facilities in Ciudad Quesada, there is a large water park, 18-hole golf course and country club with restaurant, live entertainment, swimming pool facilities (fees apply). There is also an English bowling-court, tennis courts, mini golf and now even a bowling alley. There are many bars, over 30 restaurants, shops, tobacco shop, hairdressers, several banks (some with Swedish-speaking staff) medical center and pharmacy. Ciudad Quesada is a secluded paradise, yet close enough to everything man we have, largest city of Torrevieja, Benihofar, Rojales San Miguel, Los Monticinos etc.

You are just a short drive from some typical Spanish cities, including Torrevieja, Guadamar del Segura, Elche, with one of Europe's largest palm forests, Santa Pola, famous for its seafood, Alicante, an exciting Spanish city and Benidorm, which only an hour's drive away.

World Health Organization (WHO) considers that this part of Spain, with mild climate and low levels of humidity, to be one of the healthiest climate of the planet. With an average winter temperature of 15 º C, 320 days of sunshine and summer for us northerners, between April and October, with temperatures between 25 to 40 º C, Ciudad Quesada is a perfect holiday destination and place of residence at any time during the year.



Rojales is a traditional Spanish city with a population of about 16,000 inhabitants

Rojales is between Guardamar del Segura and Orihuela fifteen minutes from the town of Torrevieja. It is about 30 minutes drive from Alicante Airport and 30 minutes drive from Murcia (San Javier) airport.

There are a variety of shops, restaurants, tapas bars, cafes, banks, pubs and a variety of small shops and supermarkets.

In the center there is a very beautiful church and a museum. Segura river runs through the center of Rojales and is a lovely place to spend a few hours in the evening and where the locals spend their leisure time with the family.

Rojales has a great Thursday market on the river just outside the center. The market sold fresh fruit and vegetables and other locally produced goods and products

The history of the city dates back to the time of the Moors during the Arab occupation of Spain (8th-13th centuries), and it was the Moors who introduced an elaborate irrigation system, much of which still exists today. This irrigation system activated water from the River Segura which are distributed to the surrounding land to irrigate various crops grown around Rojales. It is grown mainly oranges and lemons.

Also very interesting and worth a visit is El Rodeo Caves - a series of caves where dwellings built into the side of the mountain during the 1900's. Most of the caves has now been taken over by artists and craftsmen and a regular craft market is held there.


Los Montesinos

Los Montesinos is a traditional Spanish town located 30 minutes from Alicante airport and fifteen minutes from the large town of Torrevieja and 10 minutes from the fabulous beaches blåflagg Guardemar and La Mata.

Los Montesinos has about 5,000 permanent residents, and have huge plantations of lemons, oranges and vegetables around town

Los Montesinos is right next to the giant salt lake in Torrevieja called Laguna Salada de Torrevieja and Laguna Salada de la Mata.

The nearby nature reserves and its lakes are perfect for bird watching, hiking, biking and horseback riding.

There is a lovely square in the heart of Los Montesinos where it is full of life and movement, many of the city's Fiestas ends here. On the square and around the city there are many bars and restaurants serving food from the international and Spanish cuisine.

Los Montesinos is a market every Friday, offering everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to flowers and leather goods.

From Los Montesinos is easy access to the many coastal towns such as La Zenia where it has opened a huge shopping mall with hundreds of stores. It is also close Torremendo is a mountain lake nearby where you can swim and fish.
